American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) — Provides information and resources on veterinary medicine. In addition, it lobbies for animal-friendly legislation.
Dallas Pets Alive — Volunteer organization that promotes and provides the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.
Humane Society of North Texas — Provides adoptions, humane investigations, animal surrender/admission, emergency rescue, spay and neuter programs, lost and found services and animal education.
Pawsitively Texas — Celebrates pets & advocates for Texas pets in need. Provides listing for most area pet rescue groups.
Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas — An animal welfare agency in North Texas with two shelters and three spay/neuter clinics in Dallas and McKinney and provides programs and services to enrich the lives of people and animals.
Texas Veterinary Medical Association — Provides education and information for Texas pet owners.
Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation — Promotes the well-being of animals and strengthening the human-animal bond in partnership with Texas Veterinary professionals.
